Plot: A group of friends get further ensnared in a web of death after circumstances take them to the nearest small town.
Generally well received by a new generation, this remake is far from the worst but it also isn't exactly the best. Trope-heavy, weak writing is the main offender but so is the edgy aesthetic that is very much of its time. Characters are shallow, there is very little tension, and the cinematography doesn't seem to really fit the material. There are moments you feel could of been in a better version of this movie but they are largely buried in the generic slop. Thankfully, some ideas/characters that did work were used for the far superior prequel.
