Plot: Three years after Michael's return rampage, the town of Haddonfield and those closest to the events struggle to shirk off the burden of his deeds even as he hangs like a Sword of Damocles over their heads.
A breath of fresh air to a stale formula that opts to use Myers as a plot element to make interesting points about evil's nature, how perception is colored by traumatic events, and the importance of closure. Fans of murder set pieces set to thin, redundant plotting will probably not enjoy this more pensive, character-driven endeavor. Those begging for something new in yet another Halloween movie will find much more to appreciate.
